CHAM Training

Asset management at its essence is a strategic and analytical profession requiring specialized skills. CHAM offers two certifications that take candidates through the process of attaining these skills in a progression that builds their careers.

The Asset Management Specialist courses start with the fundamentals and then explain how to apply the knowledge using real-life examples.

The Certified Housing Asset Manager courses teach advanced financial and analytical skills and techniques that the candidates then apply to one of their own properties.

CHAM partners with NeighborWorks America and HAI Group to administer the certifications and classes.

Nuts and Bolts of Asset Management available online now!

CHAM's popular Nuts and Bolts of Asset Management course has been updated and is available online! Learn at your own pace!

The course, which teaches the basics of asset management, including how to analyze the performance of an affordable housing portfolio and how to plan for long-term sustainability, covers key asset management concepts, theories, and responsibilities, and how they apply to multifamily properties. Valuable on its own, Nuts and Bolts is also one of three courses required to earn a career-boosting Asset Management Specialist Certification.
